Survey on access to the mobility and transport system for people with disabilities – get involved!
Updated : 10/12/2024
TML - Transportes Metropolitanos de Lisboa launched a survey on access to the mobility and transport system for people with disabilities. This survey is part of the “Plan for Accessibility and Transport for Persons with Disabilities in the Metropolitan Area of Lisbon”, work that TML is carrying out in conjunction with the National Institute for Rehabilitation to create a cohesive and participatory public transport network, with transport accessible to persons with disabilities, both in terms of infrastructure, rolling stock and information to the public, and other components that provide greater autonomy for all.
Still in a diagnostic phase, the Plan held, on 30 and 31 October, three well-participated listening sessions, aimed at associations linked to people with disabilities, city councils and AML, transport operators and infrastructure managers. It now follows the survey open to the public that will seek to know the needs of people with disabilities and analyze their accessibility to AML public transport services, namely the main constraints faced and existing good practices, in order to better propose mobility measures and actions that make the system more inclusive and universal.
Because this knowledge is fundamental so that transport operators, infrastructure managers and entities with responsibilities in the accessibility and transport system and in the management of the public space can intervene, we invite all interested parties to fill in the survey so that they can give their contribution.
