The National Institute for Rehabilitation, I.P. (INR, I.P.) informs that, during the month of July, applications will open for the Social Sciences and Humanities Award for Inclusion.

This Prize is intended to reward academic and scientific work by:

- Persons, of any nationality, who have carried out work in Portuguese higher education institutions, or in foreign institutions with academic links to universities or polytechnics based in Portugal;

- Portuguese citizens whose work has been developed in foreign institutions.

Applications may be submitted in two separate categories according to the nature of the work submitted:

Category a) Master's dissertations and doctoral theses

Category (b) scientific projects developed under the R&D system.

The work should address the inclusion of persons with disabilities and be aligned with the objectives of the Prize, namely the fight against discrimination, the promotion of equal opportunities and citizenship, the reduction of barriers in civic participation and the realisation of the rights enshrined in the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities.
