CP – Comboios de Portugal is very proud to share with you a very relevant step on our path of proximity and inclusion: the launch of our new website and the new mobile app.

Aware of the importance of digital accessibility for all our Customers, especially for people with specific needs, this project was developed since its conception with accessibility as a prerequisite for development, in accordance with the provisions of Decree-Law No 83/2018 of 19 October 2018, which transposes Directive (EU) 2016/2102 on the accessibility of websites and mobile applications.

The new website and App will also ensure the functional requirements required by the Silver Accessibility and Usability Seal, promoted by ARea – Agency for Administrative Reform, distinguishes good practices in digital accessibility.

The Silver level proves that the website and app will consistently comply with international requirements (WCAG 2.1 – AA level), ensuring an inclusive experience for people with different types of disabilities, such as visual, auditory, motor or cognitive.

The application for the Silver Seal will occur soon and also requires manual evaluation by experts + validation with real users with disabilities, to ensure that the site/app is effectively usable.

Thus, after the launch, we will start a phase of practical tests, in which we count on your precious collaboration and contribution.

We believe this will be another decisive step towards making our digital services more inclusive, useful and accessible to all.
