The III Concelhio Meeting of Self-Representation Groups – ‘Famalicão com Rodas’, jointly organised by the Famalicense Association for Disability Prevention and Support (AFPAD), ACIP – Ave Cooperativa Intervenção Psico-social CRL, APPACDM – CACI de V. N. Famalicão, the Social Centre of the Parish of Landim, the Social and Cultural Centre of S. Pedro de Bairro, the Parish Social Centre of Ribeirão and the Association Theatre Construction (ATC).

The event will take place at Casa das Artes, in Vila Nova de Famalicão.

This event aims to foster an exchange of practices, knowledge and needs in the areas of rights, empowerment and self-representation, adding to the conversation people with disabilities, family members, professionals of social organizations that attend and have services for people with disabilities, public and private organizations and professional classes with competence in disability and rehabilitation, Portuguese speakers with high knowledge and technical and scientific experience in this area.

We also intend to make this Meeting a space for sharing among all stakeholders and participants, consolidating technical and scientific knowledge that will allow us to contribute to the advancement and improvement of practices focused on people with disabilities and their self-determination and inclusion.

We welcome the presence of the Honourable Member. Prosecutor of the Republic, dr. Inês Pinheiro Robalo and Dr Sandra Marques, who will contribute greatly to the debate on the importance of self-representation, equality and the promotion of the rights of persons with disabilities.
