2nd Rehabilitation Nurse Center Seminar

On 6 November, the Centro de Medicina de Reabilitação de Alcoitão (CMRA) is organising the 2nd Seminar of the Nucleus of Rehabilitation Nurses (NER-CMRA), dedicated to the theme ‘The Present and the Future of Nurses Specialising in Rehabilitation in Specialised Centres’.

The meeting brings together professionals from all over the country to reflect on practices, challenges and perspectives in the area. The opening session will be attended by Enf. Rodrigo Ramos, from Enf.a Ana Falcão and Enf. Lino Oliveira.

Throughout the day, topics such as:

  • Continuity of care in spinal cord injury;
  • Home reintegration and adaptation of spaces;
  • Empowering informal carers;
  • outpatient respiratory rehabilitation;
  • Management of neurobehavioural changes in ECA;
  • Tracheostomy decannulation process.

The afternoon includes three practical workshops on activities of daily living, inclusion and training of respiratory muscles, with experts from CMRA, INR and ULSC – DCMRRC.

The closing session will be marked by a debate on the challenges of the profession and the presentation of the Alldança group. The initiative, organized by CMRA with support from rehabilitation centers in the North, Center and South, reinforces the sharing of knowledge and the valorization of specialized rehabilitation nursing.

This event is part of the commemorations of 3 December – International Day of Persons with Disabilities.
