The requalification of the historic center of Viana do Alentejo was understood as fundamental for the functional adaptation of the space to the current needs, namely in the promotion of accessibility and mobility for all, essential for the promotion of conditions for the full exercise of citizenship rights, is an instrument and mechanism at the service of the construction of a society without barriers, improving the quality of life and the full civic and social participation of all citizens. Leiria - Museum of Leiria

The Leiria Museum, inaugurated on 15 November 2015, as a cultural outreach space for both residents and visitors, will have to respond positively to the needs of equal use of all people. In addition to heritage concerns, the Leiria Museum had a strong inclusive component. The museum communicates with its audiences through various modes and means, both through the observation and contemplation typical of traditional museography, and through the use of new information and communication technologies to ensure more and better forms of interactivity.

The new techniques and technologies applied at the Leiria Museum allow today to realize a project that guarantees new forms of accessibility, making the space free of barriers and able to promote equal opportunities for all. Only in this way is it possible to build an inclusive and complete citizenship by excluding no one. The accessibility of the Museum is guaranteed by infographics and signage with concerns in terms of graphic accessibility, and with braille signs, directional paths and accessible routes, mechanical access, dog-guide space, tactile plants, translations in three languages, bilingual exhibitions (PT; ENG), audio-video-guides in four languages, multimedia solutions, scripts for non-locution films (ensuring accessibility for people with hearing impairments), scripts in Communicational Pictographic System and in Braille, in partnership with CRID - Resource Centre for Digital Inclusion.

Pombal - Extension and optimization of the PomBus network

The issue of accessibility for all citizens, particularly those with restricted mobility, is a constant concern in the provision of this service, so all buses are equipped to meet this need. The same happens with the requalifications that are being made in the streets of the city of Pombal, designed for any citizen, regardless of their mobility conditions. Regarding the interconnection of the city with the transport network, made through the stops, access to these is accessible by all through the ramps created on the sidewalks and associated with pedestrian crossings that, many of them, give access to the bus stops.
