Employment and Vocational Training

The Institute of Employment and Vocational Training provides a set of publications, in the field of the production of statistics and indicators, to characterize, monitor and evaluate some of its areas of intervention, namely employment and vocational training.

Most of the information presented in these publications results from the administrative records made by the local Organic Units of IEFP (Employment and Vocational Training Centres), constituting the first basis of information used in the performance of the public employment service.

The information provided covers:

Employment market, with statistical information resulting from the use of administrative acts resulting from the activity carried out by the Employment Centres, in the context of the management of job applications and offers - Activity indicators.

Public employment

Statistical data on employment in general government and the wider public sector are collected, analysed and disseminated by the Directorate-General for Administration and Public Employment (DGAEP), within the framework of labour market statistics.

Among the DGAEP's statistical publications, the Public Employment Statistical Bulletin (BOEP), where statistical indicators are analysed such as:

- Educational attainment in general government;

- Age structure in general government;

- Disabled workers in public administrations;

- Supply of services in the direct and indirect administration of the State;

- Age and education structure in public enterprises and other public sector entities.
