Next day 16 April 2026, the LIGA Foundation points out 70 years of existence. To celebrate this date we will hold, on the same day, in the headquarters building of the LIGA Foundation in Lisbon, the Conference "Empowering Lives, Transforming Futures", which aims to be a space for reflection and sharing on the Foundation’s intervention, but also on the challenges and opportunities in the area of inclusion and social participation of persons with disabilities.

The program of the Meeting integrates the panels "Citizenship, Rights and Participation: Challenges of the Past, Lessons for the Future", "Innovation and Technologies: Tools for Inclusion", "Policies and Partnerships: Pathways to Change" and a round table with the theme Building the Future Now: Goals for the Decade, Challenges and Opportunities.

With the participation of experts, politicians, professionals from reference organisations and companies, this conference also aims to disseminate good practices and experiences with social impact and identify objectives for the next decade.

It is also reported that in this initiative there will be capture of video, audio and photography. The captured files may be used for institutional and / or promotional communication purposes in the various channels, physical and / or digital, of the LIGA Foundation.
