The National Institute for Rehabilitation and the Mobility and Transport Authority carried out, over the months of July and September 2025, several joint supervisory actions on transport infrastructure, with the aim of assessing accessibility conditions for people with restricted mobility.
The technical visits took place in different points of the country, covering railway stations, bus stations, intermodal interfaces and metro stations in the cities of Lisbon, Évora, Coimbra, Porto and Braga.
The collaboration between the two entities aims to collect detailed and shared information, enhancing a coordinated and effective action, for the benefit of the rights of persons with disabilities and reduced mobility.
The implementation of these joint actions represents a constructive and articulated response between entities with competence in the area of accessibility.
