Last Friday, 12 June 2026, the Southeast Baião School Group hosted the National Awards Festival of the Alert School! Competition 2025/2026, an initiative promoted jointly with the Institute for the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (IDiPD, I.P.).

The ceremony distinguished nine school projects in the area of inclusion and citizenship, selected from 48 applications submitted by 45 schools, involving the participation of more than 2,000 students.

During the event, trophies, diplomas and prizes were awarded to the distinguished schools, and the host grouping achieved the 1.º Category 2 prize (2.º and 3.º basic education cycles).

The session was attended by representatives of the IDiPD, I.P., the National Jury of the competition, the Municipality of Baião and the Parish Council of Santa Marinha do Zêzere, in addition to the Directorate of the Grouping of Schools, its teachers and students, bringing together the educational community at a time of recognition of the work developed by the schools and their contribution to the construction of a more inclusive society.

The event included several moments dynamized by students of the Grouping, including their presentation and musical moments, which reinforced the participatory and inclusive character of the initiative.
