A ENIPD 2021-2025 results from the proposal submitted by the working group set up by Order No 15/MTSSS/2019 of 29 July 2019 of the Minister for Labour, Solidarity and Social Security, and is guided by the fundamental principles of respect for and guarantee of the human dignity of persons with disabilities, their autonomy, independence and self-determination, participation in all areas of life, the promotion of equality, equity and non-discrimination in their various dimensions, including multiple discrimination, and respect for difference and diversity.
A ENIPD 2021-2025 intends to consolidate the progress achieved, as well as to look to the future, reinforcing the inclusion of people with disabilities assumed by the XXI and XXII Constitutional Governments as one of the reference areas of their government action and as a corollary of a society that wants to be more just, cohesive and solidary and that respects diversity and sees it as a factor of wealth and progress.
