Portuguese Sign Language (LGP)

Second language in Portugal with constitutional recognition, on September 20, 1997, used by the Portuguese deaf community, deaf and hearing people, family members, educators, teachers, technicians, among others. Portuguese Sign Language is a visual language, which expresses itself in three-dimensional space. It has its own grammar, like any language, combining parameters such as facial expression, hand configuration, orientation, location and movement to convey a thought, message or intonation.
