Two more diplomas in the last Portuguese test in Tokyo 2020

In the marathon, Odete Fiúza won the 6th place with three hours, 20 minutes and 45 seconds, having obtained the respective Paralympic diploma.

In turn, Manuel Mendes was the 8th ranked and also won the Paralympic diploma.

“The Paralympic Games are always a very special event, I am very pleased with this result and this diploma. The last year of preparation was complex but fortunately we overcame the difficulties and I arrived here at my best level. It was a privilege and a great emotion to run on the streets of Tokyo and feel the support of the people", said Odete Fiúza.

Portugal ends its participation in these Paralympic Games Tokyo 2020, with two bronze medals won by Miguel Monteiro in the launch of the T20 weight and Norberto Mourão in the 200m VL2 canoeing, in addition to 23 diplomas and 8 national records.

The Portuguese mission is scheduled to arrive at Lisbon Humberto Delgado Airport on 7 September at 15:25 local time on flight TK1759 from Istanbul.
