To mark the International Day of Down Syndrome, on March 21, the assets managed by CBRE launch an awareness campaign, at the Iberian level, which will take place in Portugal in eleven offices, six retail parks and nine shopping centers, managed and marketed by the real estate consultant.

The campaign is marked by the #DifferentBut Equal initiative, which calls for the use of socks that are not the pair of each other, in order to highlight the beauty of diversity and tolerance towards people with this condition. For this, a partnership was created with the Portuguese brand CHULÉ, which developed an exclusive edition of socks with different colors and patterns. These will be distributed to customers, cleaning, security and maintenance teams, as well as office building workers who are expected to use them during March 21, showing the unity and irreverence that distinguishes them.

Throughout the month of March, Alameda Shop & Spot, Alma Shopping, LoureShopping, LeiriaShopping, Our Shopping, RioSul Shopping, Torreshopping, UBBO and 8th Avenue will receive associations that accompany users with this diagnosed pathology, namely APPACDM of Lisbon and Porto, to whom will be provided the experience of spending a day in the Shopping Center. Here you can get to know the facilities, the different jobs and do some activities specially prepared for this day. In addition, they will have the opportunity to make known the Association and promote the handicrafts developed by its users.

Given the relevance of the theme, Lagoas Park and WTC Lisboa have also joined the #DifferentBut Equal campaign, involving all their community and workers. On this day, Lagoas Park will have as special guests 20 young adults belonging to the Portuguese Association of Parents and Friends of the Citizen with Mental Disabilities, who will be introduced to the “business world”.
