Commemorative Session of the World Braille Day 2024 | The State of the Art of Teaching-Learning Braille in Brazil and Portugal

O National Institute for Rehabilitation (of Portugal), a Directorate of Special Education Policies in the Inclusive Perspective of the Brazilian Ministry of Education, the Braille Core and a the Brazilian Braille Commission will hold the commemorative session of the World Braille Day about ‘The State of the Art of Braille Teaching and Learning in Brazil and Portugal’via Zoom on the day 4 January 2024 (Thursday) at 14h00-15h30 (Brasília time) | 17h00-18h30 (Mainland Portugal time).

This session aims to celebrate World Braille Day 2024 and, simultaneously, take note of the state of the art of Braille teaching-learning, both in Brazil and in Portugal, through the knowledge and experience of the various stakeholders, as well as provide a wide space for reflection and sharing of experiences on Braille teaching-learning in an educational context and professional rehabilitation of blind and low-vision people, open to all teachers, students, professionals and other users of the Braille system and their families who in Brazil and Portugal wish to join this event.

Currently acting as coordinator of the Adaptation of Material and the Teaching of Braille and Sorobã of the Rehabilitation of the IBC. She has been serving at IBC since 2014, always acting as a teacher.
