Braille Core – Who we are

Braille works within the structure of the National Institute for Rehabilitation It consists of the following Members:

• A representative appointed by the President of the Board of Directors of the National Institute for Rehabilitation, which he coordinates - Dr. Miguel Ferro, assisted by Mestre Patrícia Santos;
• A representative designated by the Ministry of Education - Mestre Cristina Miguel;
• A representative designated by the Ministry of Culture, linked to the special reading area of the National Library of Portugal - Dr. Carlos Ferreira;
• A representative of the Association of Blind and Amblyopic People of Portugal (ACAPO) - Mestre Irina Francisco;
• Three individuals of recognized merit with technical-scientific competence in areas related to braille or complementary means of reading - Dr. Alice Ribeiro, Professor Dr. Augusto Deodato Guerreiro and Master Serafim Queirós.”
