INR receives visit from a delegation from the University of Seoul, South Korea

The National Institute for Rehabilitation, I.P., received on January 16, 2025, at 3:00 p.m., a delegation from the University of Seoul, South Korea, composed of 31 members.
The delegation was led by Professor Bong Hwan Kim who accompanied 30 university students and had as main objective to know the public policies of Portugal regarding disability, coordination and implementation at national level.
It was a group that is studying the participation of citizens in the development of policies that promote the improvement of democracy, in this case good practices in Portugal, so they considered as an example of good practices the existence of a Secretary of State dedicated to the inclusion of people with disabilities.
The visit was attended by Sónia Esperto, President of the INR, Fernanda Sousa, Head of Division of the Technical Support Office (GAT) of the INR, Florbela Inácio and Marisa Lourenço (GAT), techniques responsible for international relations, who presented this Public Institute and public policies on disability in Portugal.
The session took place in a very participatory way and there was a space for questions and answers very demonstrative of the interest of the South Korean delegation in bringing to their country the good practices of Portugal in this matter.
