It was published today, August 27, in the Diário da República a Ministerial Implementing Order 207/2020 which regulates the ATIVAR.PT Incentive measure, which consists of granting the employer financial support for the conclusion of an employment contract with an unemployed person who has been registered for at least six consecutive months with the Instituto do Emprego e da Formação Profissional, I.P., this period being waived in the case of, inter alia, a person with disabilities and incapacity.

Thus, in accordance with the commitments made in the Economic and Social Stabilisation Programme, the measure "Incentivo ATIVAR.PT" was created, a support for the hiring of unemployed aimed at creating sustainable employment and promoting the employability of the public furthest from the labour market. Preserving and reinforcing the guidelines of its predecessor, this support now introduces reinforced incentives to stimulate the hiring of publics with lower employability, while providing a set of transitional mechanisms to respond to the new unemployed and to adapt to the exceptional context that the country is going through.
