MAVI Pilot Projects
The implementation of MAVI takes place through the provision of personal assistance, through independent Life Support Centres (CAVI), entities responsible for the operationalisation of the respective pilot projects, co-financed under the European Structural and Investment Funds – Operational Programmes of Portugal 2020.
In this sense, applications for funding were opened in the various regions of the country, with the INR being the Intermediate Body for the regions of the North, Centre, Alentejo and Algarve.
The Financial Management Authority for the North, Centre and Alentejo regions was POISE – Operational Programme Social Inclusion and Employment. In the Algarve, this responsibility fell to CRESC Algarve 2020 – Programa Operacional Regional do Algarve (Algarve Regional Operational Programme).
In the Lisbon region, the Intermediate Body is the Lisbon Metropolitan Area (AML) and the Financial Management Authority is the Lisbon Regional Operational Programme.
In the North, Centre and Alentejo regions, 51 applications were submitted and 30 approved, of which 3 withdrew, with 27 projects being implemented.
In the Algarve region, 5 applications were submitted, and there was a withdrawal, still during the evaluation process. Two applications were approved, both of which are currently being implemented.
