The International Labour Organization (ILO) has launched the Forced Labour Observatory, which aims to provide policymakers, journalists, academics, social partners and civil society with statistical data and up-to-date information on forced labour at both global and national levels.

Forced labour is far from a problem of the past. The ILO estimates that 27.6 million people are victims of forced labour, according to data for 2021.

Through an online platform you can access country-by-country information on legislation, inspection, prevention, policies and cooperation, and where you can access data for Portugal.
