3rd EDITION OF THE SPECIALISATION COURSE IN ADAPTED SURFING AND SPECIAL POPULATIONS

Inserted in its Training and Training Program for Surfing Coaches, Ericeira Surf Club will promote this Specialization Course, duly accredited by the IPDJ with 3 Credits, in order to ensure that the trained trainers of the course acquire technical-sports and social skills in this area.

With the exponential growth of inclusive and sports practice in the Surfing sector, it is urgent to train sports agents to develop basic personal, social and technical-sports skills oriented towards the teaching of Adapted Surfing and Special Populations, but also at the level of promoting the safety of practitioners/athletes including the creation of conditions to generate minimal impacts on the remaining users of the space.

In many cases, it can also mean knowing how to communicate with the authorities and identifying rules of use of the sites for the practice of adapted Surfing or para-Surfing.

This course was also designed as continuous training, necessary for the revalidation of the Professional Title of Sports Coach, as provided for in Law No. 40/2012 of 28 August, and explained in Ordinance No. 326/2013 of 1 November.
