Poster Award 3 December delivered in ceremony at El Corte Inglés

The 3 December Poster Award Ceremony, International Day of Persons with Disabilities, took place in the Cultural Scope Room of El Corte Inglés, on 4 December, in Lisbon.
At the opening of the ceremony and on behalf of El Corte Inglés (ECI), Vasco Marques Pinto of Institutional Relations & Sustainability referred to “the satisfaction of the ECI in participating in the 3 December Poster Prize with which they have been associated for a few years”, also mentioning “that it is with joy that they find that every year there is greater participation that translates into more applications”.
This was followed by the Round Table – “Objectives and experience of the jury in the Prize”, in which Marina Van Zeller, Vice-President of the National Institute for Rehabilitation, I.P. (INR, I.P.) and President of the Jury of this Prize, was moderator. During the ceremony, each member of the jury stressed the importance of the prize and made a brief mention of the generality of the applications.
The ceremony continued with the Honourable Mentions awarded to Marisa Figueiredo Moreira with the poster ‘To be different is to be like everyone else’ and to Maria Carolina Silva Rocha with the poster ‘In diversity, equality’. These winners received a Gift Card worth €250 by ECI, a piece of art offered by CENCAL - Professional Training Centre for the Ceramic Industry and exhibition catalogues offered by the Gulbenkian Culture Program.
The winner of the prize was Filipe Manuel Oliveira da Silva Pinto, with the poster “Let’s Erase Inequality – We Are All Equal”, who received a prize of €1,500 from the INR, I.P., a €1,500 Gift Card from the ECI, and also a piece of art offered by CENCAL.
Closing the ceremony, Ms Van Zeller thanked everyone for attending “an afternoon dedicated to the celebration of creativity, talent and, above all, diversity and inclusion”.
This Prize aims to reward the graphic work that best represents the message underlying the commemoration of December 3, which aims to raise awareness of compliance with the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities.
