Updated : 13/12/2024

"The inclusion desk is an essential tool to ensure that the rights of persons with disabilities are respected and their access implemented in a simpler, fairer and more transparent way, simplifying access to the various services and social responses," Mónica Seidi said at the opening of the Angra do Heroísmo desk on Terceira island.
Beneficiaries will be able to have access at these desks to "disability assistance in social security matters", which was already provided in these services, in matters such as social benefits, social responses or support products.
Care in the field of disability, matters outside the competence of Social Security, "with guidance and referral", in matters such as "employment and support to employers, vocational training, tax benefits, accessibility, transport, early intervention or education" will also be available.
The measure is part of the Regional Strategy for the Inclusion of Persons with Disabilities (ERIPDA), adopted in July 2023.
