DGArts Launches National Mapping to Boost Inclusive Musical Practices in Portugal

The Directorate-General for the Arts (DGArtes), in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture, is promoting a Mapping and National Study on Inclusive Musical Practices targeted at children, adolescents and young people. This project, integrated in the Ibero-American Program Iberorquestras Juveniles, has as main objective to analyze the impact of music as a tool of social inclusion and artistic development in national territory.

The study aims to map institutions and projects who act in inclusive music education, with emphasis on instrumental and vocal groupings.

How to participate

Public, private or third sector entities developing inclusive music projects may contribute to this mapping:

  • Fill in the online form: Available here, the document requests information on project structure, target audiences, partnerships and impacts observed.
  • Requirements: Projects active or completed in the last 3 years, focusing on social inclusion through musical practice.
  • Deadline: Submissions are open until 30 April 2025.
