2nd Quarterly Meeting between INR and NGOPD took place on 27/03

On March 27, the 2nd Quarterly Meeting was held between the National Institute for Rehabilitation, I.P. (INR) and the Non-Governmental Organizations of Persons with Disabilities (NGPD), under the theme: Strategy and Public Policies.

This meeting was coordinated by the President of the INR, Sónia Esperto, which was attended by Clara Marques Mendes, Secretary of State for Social Action and Inclusion and the INR team appointed to monitor and review the National Strategy for the Inclusion of Persons with Disabilities 2021-2025 (ENIPD), as well as about 60 NGOsPD.

The meeting presented the results of the implementation of the ENIPD until 31 December 2023, its review process and the analysis being made by the INR team of the contributions received until 31 January 2025, regarding the structure and challenges for the new Strategy.

The NGOPDs had the opportunity to speak out, reinforcing their importance in the participation and elaboration of the new Strategy and the relevance of it to contain clear objectives for the implementation of the rights of persons with disabilities, promoting their quality of life.
