The European Day of Independent Living, celebrated on 5 May, was established by ENIL - European Network on Independent Living, a European-wide platform, aimed at people with disabilities and organizations promoting Independent Living, whose main mission is to promote the values and practices of Independent Living.

In order to mark this date, the INR will promote the forum “A Future with Independent Living: Personal assistance in working life”, on 5 May, between 2 p.m. and 4.30 p.m., in the Orlando Monteiro auditorium, at the INR, in Lisbon.
