Plano de Acessibilidade e Transportes de Pessoas com Deficiência na Área Metropolitana de Lisboa já disponível

The final documents of the ‘Plan for Accessibility and Transport of Persons with Disabilities in the Lisbon Metropolitan Area’, carried out by Transportes Metropolitanos de Lisboa (TML) in conjunction with the National Institute for Rehabilitation, were published.
This Plan is a strategic instrument for promoting accessibility and mobility for persons with disabilities in the 18 municipalities of the Lisbon metropolitan area, contributing to the full enjoyment of their rights and to a fairer and more equitable society.
The development of the Plan was monitored in its different phases by associations of representatives of persons with disabilities, municipalities, transport operators, interface management entities, with the active participation of various entities and citizens.
The following documents are available for consultation:
- Characterization and Diagnosis Report;
- Cenarization Report, Strategic Vision, Targets and Indicators;
- Programme Report of Measures and Actions;
- Guide for the assessment of accessibility conditions in interfaces;
- Guide of intervention typologies to be applied in interfaces;
- Report summarising accessibility at road passenger transport interfaces and stops.
The development of this Plan had the active participation of several entities and citizens, through listening sessions, reinforcing the commitment to the construction of inclusive and effective solutions.
