The nomination process for the members of the 2020-2025 Advisory Council of the National Mechanism for Monitoring the Implementation of the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (Me-CRPD) is open.
The National Mechanism for Monitoring the Implementation of the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (Me-CDPD) is an independent national body operating under the auspices of the Assembly of the Republic for the promotion, protection and monitoring of the said Convention, as provided for in Article 33(2). “States Parties shall ... appoint or establish, internally, a structure that includes one or more independent mechanisms, as appropriate, with a view to promoting, protecting and monitoring the implementation of this Convention.”
