Initial training: Inclusion desk
Updated : 12/10/2021
Between 11 and 29 October, a new cycle of online initial training activities began for the managers and technicians assigned to the Network of Inclusion Counters of Mainland Portugal, promoted by the National Institute for Rehabilitation (INR). These actions are addressed to all entities that have expressed an interest, thus concluding this training cycle in 2021.
The Inclusion Desk is a specialized and accessible service for persons with disabilities and/or disabilities, their families, organizations and others who directly or indirectly intervene in the area of disability on the rights and benefits according to the legislation in force and also on the existing resources. This service also forwards and mediates / raises awareness among the different services and bodies that, within the scope of their mission, have competence in the matters referred to, for the resolution of the situations presented.
Given the relevance of this service, in April 2016, a Network of Inclusion Counters was created, and they are currently installed at the National Institute for Rehabilitation (INR), the Social Security Institute (ISS), in Lisbon, in 18 districts of the mainland and one in Madeira and in 96 Municipalities, through the signing of Cooperation Protocols between the INR and the Municipalities.
