Thus, the procedure for issuing the medical certificate of multi-use incapacity (AMIM) was reviewed and streamlined, and this certificate can now be issued electronically.
This Decree-Law also approved a transitional and exceptional regime for the issue of the AMIM by the Medical Committees for the Assessment of Disabilities of Persons with Disabilities, as an extraordinary measure in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic.
This transitional and exceptional regime will remain in force until 31 December 2022 and includes, in particular, the possibility of attributing these certificates, for some types of pathologies, through the mere assessment of the process, exempting the physical assessment of the applicant in person.
The value of the fees for issuing certificates issued under this exceptional and transitional regime is set out in the table annexed to the Decree-Law.
