Human Rights Award Václav Havel 2022

The Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, in partnership with the Václav Havel Library and Charta 77 Foundation, promotes the Václav Havel Human Rights Prize 2022 until 30 June 2022 (extended deadline).
The aim of this award is to distinguish civil society actions in the defence of human rights in Europe.
This distinction is awarded in memory of Václav Havel (1936-2011), playwright, fighter against totalitarianism and leader of the 1989 Velvet Revolution. He was the last President of Czechoslovakia and the first President of the Czech Republic.
Applications must be sent to the Parliamentary Assembly at the following e-mail address: hrprize.pace@coe.int, using the available form.
The Prize has a monetary value of 60,000 euros, a trophy and a diploma.
