Dissemination of results | Prize for Social Sciences and Humanities - Edition 2023

Poster for the Social Sciences and Humanities Prize

The Prize for the Social Sciences and Humanities distinguishes the work carried out by master's and doctoral students who, through their research, contribute to the production of scientific knowledge about disability and inclusion.

In the 2023 edition, the jury decided to award:

  • O Prize, to work “Children's furniture for children with Autism Spectrum Disorders”, master’s thesis Inês Pereira Lopes 's;
  • One Honorable Mention, to work “Reasonable job accommodation and job guardianship in the event of illness and disability”, doctoral thesis Joana Isabel Taveira Ferreira Neto 's;
  • One Honorable Mention, to work “Serious Virtual Reality Game for Stroke Rehabilitation at Home”, Master’s thesis from Sérgio Duarte Costa Oliveira.

The winner will receive a cash prize of €5,000 (five thousand euros), awarded by the National Institute for Rehabilitation, I.P..

The winners will receive a certificate as well as a piece of art awarded by CEFPI – Centre for Integrated Vocational Education and Training.

The Prize and Honorable Mentions will be presented in a public ceremony, on a date to be announced in due course.
