MAVI MONTHLY REPORT – DECEMBER 2023

The monthly activity of the Independent Life Support Centers (CAVI), which are part of the pilot project of the Independent Life Support Model (MAVI), is reported to the National Institute for Rehabilitation, I.P., based on the completion of the monitoring grids by each of the institutions.
According to these monitorings, in December 2023, out of the 35 projects in operation, 1 049 people funded by the ISS were supported.
From the start of the project until 31 December 2023, a total of 3,993,386 (three million, nine hundred and ninety-three thousand, three hundred and eighty-six) hours were provided, of which 552,782 (five hundred and fifty-two thousand, seven hundred and eighty-two) hours were provided under the ISS, cumulated with 3,440,604 (three million, four hundred and forty thousand, six hundred and four) hours of personal assistance provided under the ESF until 30 September 2023.
In sum, during the month of December 2023, the number of active PIAPs decreased, as did the number of newly concluded PIAPs. The number of suspended PIAPs increased, as did the number of terminated PIAPs, compared to the previous month. The number of personal assistants on contract has increased and the number of personal assistants providing support has decreased.
