The monthly activity of the Independent Life Support Centers (CAVI), which are part of the pilot project of the Independent Life Support Model (MAVI), is reported to the National Institute for Rehabilitation, I.P., based on the completion of the monitoring grids by each of the institutions.

According to these monitorings, in February 2024, out of 35 projects in operation, 1,044 people funded by the ISS were supported.

From the start of the project until 29 February 2024, a total of 4,170,140 (four million, one hundred and seventy thousand, one hundred and forty) hours were provided, of which 729,536 (seventy-nine thousand, five hundred and thirty-six) hours were provided under the ISS, combined with 3,440,604 (three million, four hundred and forty thousand, six hundred and four) hours of personal assistance provided under the ESF by 30 September 2023.

In sum, during the month of February 2024, the number of active PIAPs decreased, as did the number of suspended PIAPs, new PIAPs and terminated PIAPs, compared to the previous month. The number of contract personal assistants increased and the difference between the number of contract personal assistants and the number of personal assistants providing support decreased, but so did the average number of hours provided per personal assistant.
