2nd Edition - Seminar "Inclusion in Motion: Adapted Sport and Physical Activity for All”

In the year in which Viseu is the European City of Sport 2024 (Viseu CED24), Invictus Viseu – Associação Desportiva, Recreativa e Cultural and the Escola Superior de Educação de Viseu (ESEV) – Departamento de Ciências do Desporto e Motricidade, as a result of the success of the 1st edition (2023), jointly organised the 2nd edition of the Seminar ‘Inclusion on the Move: Adapted Sport and Physical Activity for All”.

The event will take place on 24 and 25 May 2024, taking place on 24 May at the Auditorium of the School of Technology and Management of Viseu (ESTGV) and on 25 May 2024 at the IPV Sports Pavilion, both spaces located on the Campus of the Polytechnic Institute of Viseu (IPV).

This seminar aims to address several themes, to be presented by personalities of recognized prestige and professional experience both nationally and internationally in the area of adapted sport and physical activity. It is hoped that such contributions can significantly enrich the current line of action, which in the last twenty years has been oriented towards a social policy aimed at valuing diversity, inclusion and combating exclusion. Through the realization of the second edition of this seminar, we intend to foster the continuity of the elaboration of policies that promote equal opportunities in the sports, educational, social and professional spheres, in the services provided by society or that may be instituted for this population. It is imperative that such policies are designed to ensure that the responses offered meet and fit the different and specific needs of each individual, with the aim of boosting their full inclusion and promoting a favorable happiness index associated with this process.
