Relaxed session
05/06/2026
The pieces of the Casa Fernando Pessoa exhibition carry stories and memories about Pessoa, what he read, as he wrote, the time in which he lived.
In a free visit, visitors walk through the exhibition at their own pace, stopping and delaying attention according to their interests.
On each floor, a person from the mediation team is available to welcome, answer questions, draw attention to relevant details.
This is a relaxed session, which means that the visit to the exhibition takes place in a more relaxed and welcoming atmosphere and with more ease when it comes to movement and noise in the exhibition rooms.
For a better welcome, there are also small adjustments in the exhibition (light, sound, reduced capacity in the rooms). We invite all visitors to maintain an attentive conduct to possible situations of discomfort that other visitors may manifest.
Everyone is welcome, including people on the autism spectrum; intellectually disabled; attention deficit; with Down syndrome; with Tourette syndrome; in early stages of dementia; with sensory, social or communication impairments; and families with young children.
Tactile Plants are also available: floor 0; Floor 1; Floor 2; floor 3, to support the visit and two Sensory Backpacks at the museum ticket office for visitors who want to request them.
They are useful for neurodivergent people or other people who benefit from these types of resources, such as people with anxiety disorder.
The backpacks are equipped with Map Sensorial (PT and EN) and sensory adjustment support materials in two versions: childish e adult people.
The Relaxed Session is integrated in the visit to Casa Fernando Pessoa *5€ (with discounts) on sale online in bol.pt and at the box office of Casa História Visual (Portuguese and Portuguese English)
