Presentation of the Inclusive Local Development Manual with the participation of the INR

The National Institute for Rehabilitation, I.P. (INR, I.P.) will be present at the presentation of the “Inclusive Local Development Manual” that will take place on 20 February 2025, from 2.30 p.m. to 5.30 p.m., on Estrada de Benfica no 529, 1549-020 Lisbon.

The ‘Inclusive Local Development Handbook’, created by Associação Locals, was awarded an honourable mention in the 2023 edition of the Award for Technological Innovation Engineer Jaime Filipe, organised by the INR.

This project consists of accessible tools and methodologies that will empower people with disabilities to have an active voice in building fairer and more inclusive communities.

The initiative, co-organized by INR together with LOCALS, Casa Pia de Lisboa (CED António Aurélio da Costa Ferreira), APEC - Association Promoting the Teaching of the Blind and the Cultural Association of the Deaf of Amadora, with the support of the Lisbon City Council, aims to increase the participation of people with visual, hearing and deafblindness in local development processes.
