Literature for whom?
11/05/2025
On November 12th, at 6:30 pm at Casa Fernando Pessoa. I will have the pleasure of moderating a conversation with Ednilson Sacramento (expert and consultant in accessibility in Brazil, and person with visual impairment) and Maria Vlachou (executive director of Access Culture).
What obstacles do visually impaired people face in accessing literature? What resources are there? Who can or cannot read? And write? Who is represented? In this conversation, we cross experiences from Brazil and Portugal on literary accessibility: from braille to audiobooks, from new technologies to the importance of ensuring access to books.
