INR rewards research and development in inclusion

Applications are open for 2020 edition of the Research and Development Awards of the National Institute for Rehabilitation (INR): Poster Award 3 December, Technological Innovation Award Eng. Jaime Filipe and Prize for Social Sciences and Humanities.
In Edition 2020, the amounts of premiums have increased as a result of the partnership agreements concluded between the National Institute for Rehabilitation and the company El Corte Inglés, Grandes Armazéns, S.A. and the group The Musketeers, which have been associated with the promotion of the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, supporting science and research for inclusion.
PREMIUM LETTER 3 DECEMBER It rewards graphic work that, through a poster, raises awareness and mobilises public opinion for the recognition of the rights of persons with disabilities, celebrated on 3 December, the International Day of Persons with Disabilities.

In the 12 previous editions, different perspectives on disability were distinguished, from art and design professionals, people with disabilities, students and citizens who pursue the values of equality.

TECHNOLOGICAL INNOVATION PRIZE ENG.o JAIME FILIPE Stimulates the design and development of equipment, tools, products and technologies that promote the autonomy of persons with disabilities in their daily lives, optimizing their physical, cognitive and social capacities and contributing to the improvement of their quality of life and autonomy.
- 1st Prize of €10,000 – with the partnership of the Musketeers group.
- 2 Honorable Mentions

Since 2001, this initiative has distinguished, among others, support products and computer applications that promote the access of people with disabilities to education, culture, work and the enjoyment of art.

SOCIAL AND HUMAN SCIENCE AWARD It distinguishes the work carried out by master's and doctoral students who, through their research, contribute to the production of scientific knowledge about disability and inclusion. It also aims to recognise work that promotes the study of the impact of social, cultural, behavioural and physical barriers on the inclusion and participation of persons with disabilities, as well as other studies that promote the rights enshrined in the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities.
- 1st Prize in the amount of 5 000 euros.
- 2 Honorable Mentions
- Applications: from 6 July to 2 October 2020
This is the oldest INR award, launched in 1998, which has distinguished studies on various topics, including learning, health, tourism and the rights of people with disabilities.
