Program for the Empowerment of Strategic Audiences in the Inclusion of People with Disabilities Opens Applications

Applications for the Programme for the Empowerment of Strategic Audiences for Citizenship and Inclusion, with a view to the inclusion of People with Disabilities and Disabilities – (PCDI) are open from 11 July, with a deadline of 45 working days for submission.

The main objective of this initiative is to stimulate decisions, practices and initiatives that achieve inclusion, promoting the autonomy of ICPs, through awareness-raising and capacity-building actions aimed at strategic audiences in cross-cutting sectors.

The proposal aims to benefit ICPs, as well as their families, professionals, and agents from various sectors with responsibilities in promoting citizenship and their rights.

All entities with proven activities in the field of inclusion of persons with disabilities and human rights, including:

  • Non-Governmental Organisations of Persons with Disabilities (NGDOs), classified under Decree-Law No 106/2013 of 30 July 2013 and Ministerial Implementing Order No 7/2014 of 13 January 2014;
  • Social sector organisations that do not have the status of NGOPD but promote publicly funded social responses for persons with disabilities (IPSS);
  • Direct or indirect central government entities, local government, including the public business sector;
  • Non-governmental organisations involved in the promotion of human rights, citizenship and development;
  • Professional Orders, the activity of which of its members is related to

contents contained in the PIC Referential:

- Order of Psychologists;

- Order of Social Assistants;

- Bar Association;

- Order of Architects;

- Order of Engineers;

- Order of Technical Engineers;

- Medical Association;

- Order of Nurses

The support to be granted has the nature of a non-repayable grant, taking the form of flat-rate financing (40% - 40%), provided for in Article 18(2)(d) of Decree-Law No 20-A/2023 of 22 March 2023, up to a maximum amount per application of EUR 200 000 (two hundred thousand euros).

The awareness-raising and training actions included in the applications submitted must begin and end within a period of 24 months. The submission of applications is made through the submission of an electronic form at the Funds Desk.
